Focus and Scope
ICT-UNPA are double-blind peer-reviewed scientific and technical reports approved by the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia Austral. The ICT-UNPA repository includes empirical and original, unpublished theoretical contributions, as well as in-depth reviews related to Social Sciences, Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, and Natural and Exact Sciences. ICT-UNPA reports are published online in an open-access format and are free to download.

Peer Review Process
Scientific and Technical Reports (ICT-UNPA) are subject to a double-blind peer review system. To be approved by the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia Austral, they must receive at least two satisfactory evaluations. Reviewers must be researchers within the National Scientific System, holding at least a Category III status in the Incentive Program of the Secretariat of University Policies (Secretaría de Políticas Universitarias) or the rank of Adjunct Researcher (Investigador Adjunto) at CONICET.

The evaluation of ICT-UNPA reports is based on critical review criteria, quality indicators, feasibility, scientific rigor, and general publication recommendations.

Approved without changes.

Approved with minor corrections.

Approved with major corrections.

Not approvable (Rejected).

4. General Comments
Official approval is established through a Legal Instrument issued by the Rector, which specifies the identification code, title, authors, and approval date of the report.

Publication Frequency
ICT-UNPA is a triannual publication:

Issue No. 1 covers papers approved between January and April.

Issue No. 2 covers papers approved between May and August.

Issue No. 3 includes papers approved between September and December.

Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History
The creation of the Scientific and Technical Reports (ICT-UNPA) was approved by Resolution No. 200/08 of the Superior Council of the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia Austral, with the purpose of providing a tool for disseminating research results. ICT-UNPA reports consist of scientific contributions and inputs developed by professor-researchers, research fellows, and thesis students.

Online publication began in 2009 within a publicly accessible, open, and free repository. On October 1, 2010, the journal was indexed in Latindex, and subsequently in Research Bible, e-revistas, and Binpar.
